Using the screen record and webcam

- Tutorials/training videos

With Wrappt's screen record and webcam tools, you can take advantage of a huge range of video content without ever having to leave the office. All you need is your computer and you're ready to create.
How to use Screen Record
To screen record a clip into your library:
- Go to the 'Record' tab from the main menu, or hit the 'Record' button from the library
- Select the 'Screen' tab
- You must click 'Allow' on the pop up requesting permission to access your microphone and camera
- Using the icon in the bottom left of the window, choose how you would like to share your screen
- From here you can:
Share your entire screen - The entirety of your screen will be recorded, including if you switch tabs, windows or programs.
Share a window - Select a single window open on your computer to record. Only content on this tab will be recorded.Share a browser tab - Select a single tab from your browser to record. Only content on this tab will be recorded.
A couple of things to note:
- To Share a browser tab, you will need to have the screen record tab and the tab being recorded in different windows.
- Switch between the two when you wish to begin and end recording.

Once you have made a selection, hit ' Share'
- Select the settings icon in the bottom right corner
- From here you can:
Disable/enable or select microphone input
Disable/enable or select audio output - use this option if there is sound on your computer you want to be recorded
- Select your recording options:
Click the stopwatch to add a timer - tap multiple times to switch between 3, 5 and 10 second timers
Click the microphone to mute/unmute your microphone
- Select the red circle to begin and end your recording.
- Rename and save, or discard your recording
- Repeat the process as many times as needed. All clips from this session will appear on the right
- Click on the bin icon next to a recording to delete
- Once you're happy with your clips, click 'Save all to library' to begin uploading to the cloud
To screen record a clip into a project, open the shot within your project and follow the same steps above.
Any clips recorded into a project will also be available in your library.
How to record using your webcam
To record yourself using webcam into your library:
- Go to the 'Record' tab from the main menu, or hit the 'Record' button from the library
- Select the 'Webcam' tab
- You must click 'Allow' on the pop up requesting permission to access your microphone and camera
- Select the settings icon in the bottom right corner
- From here you can:
Select your microphone input device
Select your video input device
- Select your recording options:
Click the stopwatch to add a timer - tap again to switch between 3, 5 and 10 second timers
Click the microphone to mute/unmute your microphone
- Select the red circle to begin and end your recording.
- Rename and save, or discard your recording
- Repeat the process as many times as needed. All clips from this session will appear on the right
- Click on the bin icon next to a recording to delete
- Once you're happy with your clips, click 'Save all to library' to begin uploading to the cloud
To record a webcam clip directly into a project, open the shot within your project, hit 'record' and follow the steps above.
Any clips recorded into a project will also be available in your library.
